Colonix is Colonix Advance Internal Cleansing Program, a colon-cleansing regimen from DrNatura. Colonix is one of the oldest existing colon cleansers in the US market. This product was released in 1998. The system features a simple detoxification program that involves taking herbal capsules, drinking a detoxifying tea and a special shake.
The Colonix Advance Internal Cleansing Program prides itself as one of the few cleansing programs in the market that do not require any special diets from its users. This makes the Colonix program very flexible and attractive to potential users of varying ages and lifestyles.
Another good selling point of Colonix is the claim that it does not produce painful and noisy explosions in the bathroom. This simply means you won’t end up coping with very loose stool and you won’t end up camping out in your toilet. Loose stool is often painful to expel and loose bowel movement can definitely disrupt a person’s daily activities. To add to the product’s good image, DrNatura also claims that Colonix has enjoyed more customer testimonials than any other colon cleanser today.
Colonix features a 3-component program for a holistic and probiotic cleansing of the gastrointestinal tract and the liver. The 1st component is the Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser. This component is responsible for moving the detritus stuck in the large intestines and moving the same out of the body. The detritus in question is composed of mucus, solid waste and undigested food matter that has probably been in your colon for years. The green, black or brown matter that we often see as the result of colon cleansing is called the mucoid plaque.
The 2nd component of the Colonix system is the Paranil® capsules. The job of the Paranil® capsules is to detoxify the 2 most hardworking organs in the body: the liver and the colon.
The 3rd component is the KleriTea® organic tea. KleriTea® has two discernable functions in the whole Colonix system. First, it enhances the effects of the 1st component and helps calm the nervous system.
Colonix can cause some discomfort when it begins its work in the body. Some of the things that you might experience are sudden headaches, the feeling of fatigue, bloating due to increase in intestinal gas, cramps (a normal occurrence in the GI tract, but might be more severe with Colonix), skin irritations, reddish appearance of the skin, etc.
These side effects are actually observable in other detoxification methods. A simple way to test this hypothesis is by submerging yourself for 1 hour in a very hot bath. Upon the release of toxins in the skin, bodily weakness can also be felt.
According to the DrNatura website, the minor side effects are not grounds for stopping the Colonix regimen completely. However, if in any way you begin to feel very sick because of the colon cleansing, you should discontinue the program immediately. There is such a thing as being non-tolerant of herbal products. This system uses psyllium seed husk, which can alter blood glucose levels. The Colonix® Intestinal Cleanser also contains ingredients such as licorice, which is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women.
